I have supported Hull FC since the mid-1960s and have had some great times doing so.
I still go to most of the games in every season.
I first heard about the VPs in the old Boulevard days and attended a few of the fundraising dinners, then held at the Willerby Manor, as a guest.
However I thought the fee would be above my means then… fast forward to a more recent dinner a few years ago at the MKM stadium and I realised the annual fee was £125.
I asked to join that night and have not regretted it.
Every couple of months we get together in Cottingham to hear a guest speaker, often a couple of current players, and have a bar meal.
I travel over from a West Yorkshire to the meetings and look forward to talking with members old and new.
It is a great way to meet other Hull fans from all walks of life and get to hear some interesting stories and help raise thousands of pounds for Hull FC every season.
We have members from all part of the ground, I sit in the east stand … come and say hello!
