Vice Presidents Association Meeting

This months meeting saw us receive one of our young sponsored players, Ben Johnson and past player Danny Washbrook as our guests.

Following our formal business, we enjoyed a meal and had the chance to question both guests about their careers. Both shared their insights and we heard Ben describe what it meant to pull on the black and white shirt for his debut in front of his family in the recent game away at Leigh.

Danny talked about his playing career, sharing some very funny anecdotes and what life is now like working within the commercial environment of the club.

John Kear

The Hull FC Vice Presidents Association would like to express our sadness on the passing yesterday of former coach John Kear. A celebrated coach who brought the 2005 Challenge Cup back to Hull having masterminded the clubs 25-24 victory over Leeds Rhinos.

We would like to pass on our sincerest condolences to his wife Dawn and his family and friends.

Rest in Peace John, Old Faithful, pal of mine.

Congratulations to Ben Johnson

The Vice Presidents Association would like to congratulate Ben, one of our sponsored players on making his Super League debut at centre this evening.

It is good to see one of our supported players making the transition from Academy/Reserve grade to first team.

As an association we like to support youth and this has been at the heart of our support since 1977.

Vice Presidents Launch New Branding ahead of 50th Anniversary Year

Following a set of designs being produced, Vice Presidents have voted to change their branding to the image shown above.

Featuring the Ducal Coronets symbolic of the city of Hull and Hull FC, the infamous irregular hoops and the White Star as a nod to the club’s heritage, we are pleased to be able to share more widely our new more modern image.

Looking forward to 50 years of supporting the club, whilst clearly recognising the history of the Association and its strong ties with Hull FC we wanted our logo to be something that becomes instantly recognisable.

We will be adding a commemoration of our anniversary from the start of 2027 but want the new identity to be synonymous with the association, our links to Hull FC and our ongoing support.

Race Night Raises huge sum

The 2026 race night was a huge success as over 100 people attended backing their favourite horses and in many cases losing their shirts! The Vice Presidents would like to thank race and horse sponsors for their kind donations and to those who donated almost 70 raffle prizes.

The event raised over £3200 to fund the work of the Vice Presidents in their support of Hull FC.
